We received over 500 art submissions from across all divisions - including artwork created by artists in classes and at home! It is such a wonderful showcase of talents in our community!
Art creations are presented in three different galleries this year, High School, Upper Primary and a whole school gallery. Please take your time to enjoy each art piece as artists share their stories and inspirations behind their art!
Please also check out our first NFT competition for Middle School and High School students on the NFT page to learn more about NFT and view the winning art pieces!
Upper Primary ArtZoom Creations
Let’s celebrate our amazing UP kiddos who created these “ArtZoom Creations” - in just 30 minute art class cycles! Thank you to UP Art teacher Ms. Kirk and her team for contributing and supporting our amazing G3-5 students!
Grade 3 : Incredible Vexx Inspired Letters
Inspired by the graffiti doodle artists Vexx, 3rd-grade artists have created these vibrant and dynamic illustrated letters. In their letters, they included fun little characters that portrayed their character traits, hobbies, food, and things that they love. Their illustrations were created in the graffiti doodle techniques and style of the artist Vexx, and students added their own creative and artistic flair to their pieces. A great way to get to know some of our incredible 3rd-grade artists.
Grade 4 Awesome Ordinary to Extraordinary Drawings
Inspired by the artist Michael Craig Martin, Grade 4 artists have been creating line drawings of ordinary objects from their homes. Their collage backgrounds have been created with the daily shrapnel from around homes. We asked...in 100 years what might a student See, Think, Wonder about these artworks...these scraps of paper and ordinary objects that feature in their artwork will reflect this moment in our history - from ordinary to extraordinary.
Grade 5: Fabulous Hopes and Possibilities Artworks
5th-grade artists have been filling their bubble tea cups (and more) with their hopes, possibilities, and growth for the year. We spoke in great depth about how you can turn negative feelings into positives. This year - trips to the cinema (with popcorn), eating at a table with all family members, shooting some hoops, dancing or playing the violin in a concert again were amongst a few of the small hopes we have. Big hopes were to see grandma and grandpa, even a parent who has been unable to return because of work and quarantine. Thinking about these moments…when we reunite..when we get back to some of the old normals, just makes us feel good and a little bit excited...and grateful for what we have.
